Cristiana MAZZONI

RESEARCH

The Research of Cristiana Mazzoni deals with the disciplinary fields “Théories et pratiques de la conception architecturale et urbaine”, and “Ville et territoire”. She focuses on the analysis of the metropolitan territories, on the railway architecture and on the multi-dwelling houses. She also works on the urban theories produced in Italy during the 60s, and on the Tendenza movement.

Since 2007, she coordinates the scientific programme Paris Métropoles en miroir. L’Ile-de-France comme région métropolitaine of the Institut d’Etudes Approfondies in Paris (MSH, EHSS, ENS), scientific coordinators : J.L. Cohen (Institute of Fine Arts, New York), H. Frank (HafenCity Universität Hambourg), M. Gandelsonas (Princeton University, New Jersey), Y. Tsiomis (ENSA Paris-la-Villette, EHESS).

 Cristiana Mazzoni also conducted scientific Research for the Ministry of Ecology and sustainable development, and for the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
