NESTERR2, Development of the NEST-TERR territory-wide urban sustainability assessment tool

The general objective of the project is to better understand the interactions that may exist between the different scales of analysis and to propose a tool, NEST-TERR, and an associated methodology to develop sustainable development strategies on a territorial scale by integrating these interactions. In addition, this project should enable the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg to identify the key parameters for the sustainable implementation of its development operations.
In order for the NEST-TERR urban sustainability assessment tool to fully play its information role at the different scales, it will be necessary to work to ensure consistency between scales and/or with political strategies in favour of sustainable development. Each level of information can thus help to build urban development indicators by linking each decision-making scale. This is probably what the tools developed to date have partly overshadowed by focusing solely on their own scales.
